Katakana Converter (Beta)
You can use this tool to convert Rōmaji to Katakana.
For now it only does a straight rōmaji conversion. Interpretation / translation functionality is a planned future addition.

- Real Kana - If you do not like the tool on this site you can give this other app to practice hiragana and katakana a try. (Free)
- Kana Bento - A fun little drag and drop game to practice hiragana and katakana. (Free)
- WaniKani (Learn Kanji) - I am using this myself at the moment for learning Kanji. I really like it and the free trial is very extensive and will give a good indication if it is the right method for you. (Paid with free trial)
- Learn Japanese To Survive! Kanji Combat (Steam) - I have not played it myself (yet) but it is the sequal to Katakana War. (Paid)
- Anki - A great intelligent SRS (Spaced Repetition System) flash cards program that can be set up for bassicly anything (Hiragana, Kanji, Vocabulary etc.). And here a handy guide on how to set it up. (Free desktop version / Paid optional phone app)
- Tae Kim's Guide To Japanese (Complete Guide) - I have just started using it myself, but it has been recommended to me by reliable sources. (Free)
- GENKI I (3rd Edition) - Highly recommended book for learning and studying Japanese. (Paid)
- Japanese From Zero! - Another book I am currently using. (Paid)
- TOFUGO - Counting in Japanese - Learn how to count in Japanese. (Free)
